Rainstorm hits Anyinabraim

Anyinabraim (WR), March 20, GNA – A rainstorm which hit Ayinabraim, a farming community in the Amenfi West District has destroyed properties worth several thousands of Ghana cedis but there were no casualties. The storm which lasted for about 45 minutes, destroyed 35 buildings including the Ayinabraim D/C Junior High School, four rooms in the chief’s palace and Salvation Army Church Mission House. Mr Thomas Agyiri, assembly member for the area, said the affected people were staying with family members and friends. He appealed to Amenfi West District Assembly, the Member of Parliament and philanthropists for assistance. 20 March 09
