Rainstorm displaces 300 pupils in Eastern Region

More than 300 pupils have been displaced in parts of the Eastern region after three days of heavy rain.

The rains in Denkyembour and Ayensuano destroyed three classroom blocks with their roofs ripped off and another block collapsing entirely.

According to Starr News’ Eastern Regional correspondent, Kojo Ansah the incident took place separately on October 28 and October 31, 2017.

He reports that officials of the National Disaster and Management Organisation (NADMO) have moved in to assess the impact of the situation and offer assistance.
