Rainstorm destroys school building

Nkoranza (Brong Ahafo), 5 Jan ’99 – A rainstorm which hit Makyinmabre in the Nkoranza district over the weekend damaged a three-roomed classroom block of the Local Ahmadiyya Primary School and destroyed property estimated at six million cedis. A former assemblyman of the area, Mr Seidu Kwa, appealed to the Nkoranza District Assembly to provide roofing sheets to facilitate rehabilitation work on the block. He also appealed to the National Disaster and Management Organisation (NADMO) to come to the aid of the people.
