Rainstorm destroy structures in Kwaebibirem

Kade, March 11, GNA- A rainstorm that hit Kade in the Kwaebibirem District on Monday, destroyed 19 houses with most of them having parts or all their roofs ripped off.

The Methodist Primary “A” school had part of its roof ripped off while the three-unit classroom block of Methodist “B” Primary school had its roof completely blown off.

A fitting shop seat lining shop, welding shop, car spraying shop and a chop bar were also destroyed by the storm. Kade, the Kwaebibirem district capital, had experienced severe storms within the past three weeks with one storm badly affecting over 40 houses.

In a related development, the Presbyterian Primary school at Boadua near Akwatia in the district had its roof completely ripped off following a rainstorm at the weekend.

Miss Comfort Durowa, an Assembly Member for Boadua, appealed to the assembly, non-government organizations, individuals and philanthropists to come to the aid of the school to ensure academic work.
