Rainstorm causes 150 million cedis damage

Nkwabeng (B/A), Feb 16, GNA – A severe rainstorm that hit Nkwabeng, near Nkoranza, last Friday injured six people and caused damage to property estimated at 150 million cedis.

The storm ripped the roofs of 16 houses, displacing 120 residents. Buildings affected included the Roman Catholic JSS, Presbyterian Kindergarten and the Presbyterian Mission house.

Mr Paul Appau, Assembly Member for Anaafour Electoral Area, said victims of the disaster were putting up with friends and relatives and appealed to the National Disaster Management Organisation, the district assembly and individuals to come to their aid. 16 Feb. 05
