Radio Station presents cash to hospital

Techiman (B/A) April 24, GNA – The Classic FM Radio station at Techiman has raised more than eight million cedis in cash and in kind in an appeal for assistance for the Techiman Holy Family Hospital.

Mr. Stephen A. Yeboah, Secretary to the Board of the station said this when he presented a cheque for 1.3 million cedis to the hospital. The amount was raised through donations and proceeds from boxes the station placed in stores, offices and commercial houses in December last year.

The station also presented 10 gallons of oil paint donated by the Fred Seini Enterprise and a carton each of paracetamol and chloroquine syrup, donated by Twum Barima Chemicals both at Techiman.

He said the appeal was launched to help provide the needs of the hospital to enable it to deliver quality health services to the people of the area and commended the donors for the response.

Mr Yeboah said the Christian Service International at Techiman-Takofiano, has pledged to donate 100 dollars worth of insulin every month to the hospital. Mr Stephen Aboagye, Senior Administrator and Mrs Rita Wilson, Matron, received the donation.
