Kumasi, February 9, GNA- Rev Joseph K Gyimah of the True Light of Christ Church advised radio presenters to do research on programmes before presenting them for discussions and contributions.
Rev Gyimah stressed that research was vital, since that would help the presenter to have greater insight into the topic being discussed. Rev. Gyimah was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Abrepo, a suburb of Kumasi on Saturday, on what presenters could do to make a better impact on society.
Rev. Gyimah said “without research into issues prior to discussions, there is always the tendency for presenters to either misinform or mislead the public”.
He also advised the media to be more circumspect in their reportage, and avoid “write-ups and reports that are likely to jeopardise national security.
Rev. Gyimah said even though newspapers are to sell their papers and make profits that should not be a license for them to resort to “reports that could undermine the current peace prevailing in the country”.
