Radio Gold’s Alhassan Suhuyini books a seat in Parliament

Renowned broadcast Journalist with Accra-based Radio Gold Alhassan Suhuyini has won in the Tamale North Constituency parliamentary during last Wednesday’s polls according to provisional results available.

The host of political talk show ‘Alhaji and Alhaji’, contested on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to beat the incumbent Dahamani Alhassan, who won the seat as an independent candidate in 2012.

He joins the league of first timers in parliament including Kojo Oppong Nkrumah of the Ofoase Ayiribi Constituency, beautician Madam Sey who beat Baba Jamal in the Akwatia Constituency of the Eastern Region, and Dr Zanetor Rawlings of the Korle Klottey Constituency among others.
