Queenmother calls for JSS

Twifo Kwamoano, (C/R) April 22, GNA – The Chief and people of Kwamoano in the Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District have appealed to the district assembly to provide them with a Junior secondary school block. Nana Abena Tanaa, Queen mother of Kwamoano, on Monday made the appeal at a forum organised by Rev Ben Donkor member of Parliament for Heman-Lower Denkyira constituency to educate the electorate on government polices.

According to the Queen mother the school block, constructed about 20 years ago have developed deep cracks and during rainy season the school has to be closed down. Rev Donkor said the resources of the district assembly, including the Common Fund was not adequate to cater for the needs of all the 800 communities in the district.

He therefore, appealed to communities in the area to initiate self-help projects to attract assistance from the assembly.
