Queen of Peace commissions’ computer laboratory

The Parent Teachers Association of the Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Basic School in Madina has commissioned a GH¢21,000 computer laboratory at the School’s premises.

This was done in conjunction with the Regional Manager for Catholic Education Schools in Accra, Mrs Faustina Opoku Yeboah, and the Assistant Parish Priest of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Rev Father Simeon Kabwe.

Mr Steven Obeng-Manu, the chairman of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA), said the computer laboratory came into fruition as a result of the hard work of the former Parish Priest, Rev Father John Louh, and the contributions made by the PTA.

He appealed to philanthropists and corporate bodies to come to the aid of the school and help develop its uncompleted projects.

In attendance at the commissioning ceremony included, Mrs Hannah Painstil, the Queen of Peace PTA Vice- Chairperson, Mrs Christiana Ayinzoya, the Headmistress of Queen of Peace J.H.S and the Assist Headmistress Rev Sister Magdalene Bonsu.

Also present were Mrs Salome Senya, the Headmistress for the Primary School, Madam Mahama Sadia, the Abokobi Municipal Health Co-ordinator and the Representative of Ga-East Municipal Director of Education, Mrs Esther Bossman.**
