PV and I maintained good personal relationship – Akufo-Addo

Two-time leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has added his voice to that of several Ghanaian leaders over the death of politician-cum-businessman Paul Victor Obeng.

In a statement issued on Sunday, May 18, Nana Addo said he got along well with PV Obeng despite their political differences.

“PV Obeng, who was an engineer, businessman and politician, played a prominent role in the public life of our country these last four decades and, despite our political differences, he and I maintained a good personal relationship.”

The Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission died on Saturday after a short illness.

“Ghana has lost a distinguished son,” stated Nana Addo.

“My sincere condolences and sympathies go to his family, the Government and the National Democratic Congress for their loss.”
