Put your trust in God – Ghanaians urged

Ajumako (C/R), Jan. 11, GNA – Ghanaians have been urged to desist from occultism and to put their trust in God. The advise was given by Ogyeabour Kwamina Hammah Ababio II, Omahen of the Ajumako Traditional Area in the Central Region at the inauguration of a Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) at Ajumako. The Omanhene noted that anything that came from the “devil” did not last, and called especially on chiefs not to resort to juju since it would not save them.

FGBMFI is a non-denominational Christian fellowship with its headquarters in the United States of Amemrica. It was introduced in Ghana about 30 years ago, and prepares people for the market place, in addition to bringing them closer to God. Ogyeabour Ababio commended FGBMFI for instilling the Christian values of humility and service in their members. Nana S.G. Addai, a former chief in Ashanti who relinquished the stool to honour the call of God through the service of FGBMFI, recounted his gains after giving up the stool and resigning from his job in the Brewery which provided him free alcoholic beverages.

Mr Danny E. Mawuenyega, the International Secretary of the Fellowship who inaugurated the executives of the Ajumako Chapter, explained that the FGBMFI WAS NOT A Church but a fellowship of people from various denominations. He urged members to continue honouring their obligations to their churches.

The Chapter has Mr Thomas Afari as President, Mr Evans Inkoom Addo and Mr Mark K. Kwafie as first and second Vice Presidents respectively, Mr Isaac Nyanor, Secretary, Mr Eric Ekow Ghansah, Treasurer, Mr A.K. Nyankson, Voice Director and Mr L.K.N Buabeng, Outreach Director. 11 Jan 10
