Pupils demonstrate over rampant defecation in their classrooms

Teaching and learning came to a stop on Monday when teachers and pupils of Sabronom Primary school near Adugyaman in the Ahafo Ano North district of the Ashanti Region went on a demonstration to protest rampant defecation in their classrooms by some community members.

The students who couldn’t stand anymore of the frequent defecation and painting of their furniture and blackboard with fecal matter took to the streets in the company of their teachers to register their displeasure about the incident.

A teacher with the school Takyi Obed described the incident as horrible and terrible.

He said the matter has been reported to the education directorate waiting for some measures to be taken.
