Public urged to submit nominations for awards

Accra, June 21, GNA – The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Monday urged the public to submit their nominations for the Journalist of the Year and Best Morning Show on radio and television. This, it said, was in fulfilment of the GJA’s stand to allow for public participation in the selection of the Journalist of the Year and Best Morning Show on radio and television.

“Nominations for the two categories must be submitted to the Awards Committee of the GJA by the close of July 31, 2009 at 1700 hours,” a statement signed by Mr Dave Agbenu, Organising Secretary, said. It said the nominations should assign reasons in not more than 160 words on the particular candidate or institution and addressed to: The Chairperson, Media Awards Committee, GJA, P.O. Box GP 4636, Accra. Nominations may also be delivered directly at the Ghana International Press Centre (GIPC) of the Ghana Journalists Association in Accra.
