Tema, Dec 23, GNA — A 30-year old public bath attendant at Community One who defiled a five-year-old girl has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Tema circuit court ‘B’.
George Awuku Chidi pleaded not guilty to a charge of defiling a five-year-old girl.
Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor prosecuting told the court that on May 6 the victim accompanied her father to a public bathhouse and while he (the father) was having his bath the girl was left with the attendant in front of his kiosk where he collected fees.
She said the victim’s father called her to come and collect the sponge for the accused person to bath her as he used to do since the bathhouse was for males but he did not get any response from the girl. When he came out of the bathhouse he found that the attendant that taken the little girl into the kiosk and defiled her
