“Police to put Azumah before court”, is the screaming headline on the front page of Public Agenda. The accompanying story says in a case likely to top the news charts for some time, Accra Central Police sources say the country’s top boxing hero, Azumah Nelson, will soon be appearing in court to answer charges of assault made against him by two youngmen. The paper says the Commander of the Police Striking Force, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. E.M. Amamoo, indicated that Azumah will be in cell till he appears before court. “Nobody is above the law, this is a criminal case,” the paper quoted Mr. Amamoo as saying. GRI
