Public advised against building on waterways

Amasaman Divisional Fire Officer, Nii Abraham Dodoo has appealed to the people in the municipality not to build on water ways to avoid flooding during the raining season.

He also asked people not to keep generators in their rooms to minimise incidence of domestic fire and loss of lives and property.

The Fire Officer, who was speaking to Ghana News Agency at Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality said his outfit could boast of a fire tender and facilities for rescue operations.

Nii Dodoo called on the people to stop dumping refuse in gutters, which causes flooding.

He advised the public to report all emergency cases to the Amasamnan fire station, including, floods, fire and motor accidents.
