Provide permanent School building for pupils- Headteacher

Kasoa (C/R), Oct. 24, GNA- Mr Charles K. Obo-Donkoh, Headteacher of Saint Martha’s Catholic Basic School at Kpormeitey near Kasoa in the Central Region has appealed for permanent structures for the school. He said temporary wooden structures housing pupils at the school pose a great danger to the children.

Mr Obo-Donkoh who was conducting the Ghana News Agency round the school on Friday, said there is the urgent need to help save the lives of the children.

He appealed to the Efutu Awutu District Assembly, Non Governmental Organizations (NGOS) and government and financial institutions to help provide permanent structure for the school.

Mr Obo-Donkoh said the school is the only public school in the northern sector of Kasoa and serves ten communities in and around the area.

He said the school could not cope with new admissions due to the population growth in the area adding that about 200 children were refused admission due to lack of classrooms.
