The Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode, Justice Atuguba and the many Ghanaians raising issues of corruption against Ghana’s judicial system have been charged to provide evidence to back their claims.
A former commissioner of the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice, Justice Emile Short, who threw the challenge to the top officers of the judiciary advised that just joining the bandwagon to raise allegations of corruption against the judiciary is dangerous to mother Ghana and the institution.
In an interview on rainbow radio 87.5fm breakfast show hosted by Kwame Tutu, Justice Emile short expressed worry at how many Ghanaians in recent times make wild allegations of corruption against people without any shred of evidence.
It could be recalled that Chief Justice Mrs.Woode in recent times has raised issues of corruption in the institution she heads.
Also, the presiding judge of the first ever elections petition, Justice William Atuguba, on Monday, also lamented on the issue of corruption creeping into the judiciary.
Justice Short, however, disagrees with the two high profiled personalities saying they should be able to tell which level of the institution is corrupt.
