Prophet defiles a 14-year-old girl

Goaso (B/A), May 23, GNA – A circuit court at Goaso has remanded Kwaku Adusei, a 57-year-old prophet, for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl at Gambia Number Two in the Asutifi District. Adusei pleaded guilty and attributed his action to the work of Satan and appealed for forgiveness.

Chief Inspector Douglas Asaana told the court that Adusei is founder and leader of Ebenezer Gospel Church at Gambia Number Two. He said on May 03 the victim and her younger sister were sent to mill corn at Gambia Number Two.

On their way, they met Adusei who invited the victim and ordered the sister to take the lead whilst he preached the gospel to the victim. The prosecutor said immediately the small girl left the prophet pulled the victim into a bush and forcibly had sex with her.

After the act, the accused gave GHP 40 to the girl and asked her not to mention her ordeal to any one or else she would die.

Chief Inspector Asaana said the victim’s parents detected a sudden change in her gait and when they questioned her she told them what the prophet had done to her. A report was made to the police and he was arrested.
