Prof. Oquaye exposed over twisted Nkrumah facts

A Member of Parliament (MP) for Brong Ahafo in the first Republic of Ghana has taken a swipe at Prof. Mike Oquaye for claiming that Kwame Nkrumah was able to construct the Akosombo Dam because all the feasibility studies, drawings and funding had been secured by the colonial masters before he assumed office as President.

To Madam Lucy Animwaah Anim, the law Professor is a dishonest person, whose hatred for Kwame Nkrumah has clouded his judgment as a professional.

“…Even members of NPP have realized he has a destructive mind,” she fumed on Okay FM.

According to her, the work Kwame Nkrumah did in his short life as President is unprecedented and everyone across the globe is a witness to it.

“…if it was not for Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela would have been killed during the initial stages of his incarceration. He had to threaten a break away from the Commonwealth to keep him alive,” she said.

Madam Lucy Animwaah Anim’s scathing attack on Prof. Mike Oquaye, who was also a former MP for Dome-Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region came after calling for the contribution of others who played major roles in the attainment of Independence be recognized by changing the 21st September from Founder’s Day, to Founders’ Day.

He also stated that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was able to embark on very important developmental projects like the Construction of the Akosombo Dam and many others because of the fact that all the work had virtually been done by the British Administration he took over from.

However, Madam Lucy Animwaah Anim charged Prof. Oquaye to channel his energy into more productive ventures like the removal of the Indemnity Clause in the 1992 Constitution.
