Productivity goes with logistics – GNAT replies Akufo-Addo

The leadership of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has attributed low productivity especially in government sectors to lack of logistics.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, the Secretary General for GNAT, David Acheampong stated that productivity goes with logistics adding that a person can be available but lack of logistics to produce will thwart the output.

According to David Acheampong, the issue of logistics is a major problem with GNAT. He added that in order for teaching and learning to be effective, a teacher has to be equipped with teaching and learning materials like chalk, syllabus, desks among others. He stated that lack of any of these materials will bring about a decrease in productivity.

He also attributed the low productivity especially in the education sector to the lack of remuneration.

He opined that teachers have always been committed to their jobs because they see it as a calling than just a service.
