PROCA inaugurates Accra branch

Accra, Mar. 1, GNA- Mr Michael Aidoo, President of the Progressive Road Contractors Association (PROCA) has pledged members’ willingness and determination to work with stakeholders in the road and construction industry, in order to improve the transport sector.

Making the pledge at the inauguration of the Greater-Accra Regional branch of the Association in Accra on Thursday, Mr Aidoo said members would endeavour to put their political affiliations behind them whenever they meet to discuss matters concerning the forward march of PROCA. The Accra branch brings to six the number of branches so far inaugurated since PROCA was formed four months ago.

The Eastern, Brong-Ahafo, Upper East and Upper West branches are the remaining ones yet to be inaugurated.

Mr Aidoo urged members to close their ranks and forge ahead in unity so that with a collective and concerted effort, they would be able to achieve set goals.

“We shall work as brothers and sisters, with senior contractors sharing their experience with the new ones, and also ensuring that there is fair play in the industry.”

Mr Sefa Ba Kwame Bonsu, an Engineer, advised members of PROCA to form groups and employ the services quantity surveyors for their consultancy work to help them anytime they are bidding for contracts.
