Private Candidates begin SSSCE in Cape Coast

Cape Coast, Oct 07, GNA – Private candidates for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in Cape Coast on Thursday began writing their October/November papers with Oral English. There were no problems at all the examination centres the GNA visited and these included Mfantsipim and St. Augustine’s secondary schools.

Mr George Ahenkora, supervisor in-charge of the centre at Adisadel School, said WAEC had issued all centres with a master-list of all the candidates in Cape Coast with their centres identified. He said of the 844 candidates who took the Oral English at his centre, only one candidate came to the place without knowing his centre but was allowed to write the paper as an “irregular candidate” as instructed by WAEC.
