Prisons officers donate to Heart Foundation

A group of prison officers belonging to the 93rd Recruit Course stationed in Accra on Thursday donated 100,000 cedis to the Ghana Heart Foundation (GHF) as part of activities marking their 10th anniversary of joining the service.

Superintendent Solomon Antwi, Public Relations Officer at the Prisons Headquarters, said it was not so much the amount of money that was important but the sustenance of the GHF and the creation of awareness.

A statement issued in Accra by the Ghana Prisons Service, said Miss Anastasia Himaus, the Administrative Officer of the GHF, received the money on behalf of the foundation.
