Princess Anne meets Otumfuo

Princess Anne, daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, has paid a courtesy call on Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll at the Manhyia Palace.

Among the things discussed was how to foster closer ties between the two monarchs and developmental issues facing Ghana.

Her visit on Wednesday, April 5, marked her second day in Ghana after a call on President Akufo-Addo the previous day.

Princess Anne has visited the Christianborg War Cemetery at Osu where she laid a wreath to pay tribute to Ghanaians who lost their lives during World War II.

Princess Anne is the sponsor of the Varkey Foundation’s Making Ghanaian Girls Great, Ghana’s first interactive distance learning project. She also engaged in talks concerning education with Mr Akufo-Addo in Ghana.
