Priest asked the youth against social vices

Bono-Manso (B/A) Aug. 5, GNA- The Reverend Father Paul Osei-Fosu of the Roman Catholic Church at Tuobodom in the Techiman Diocese has urged the youth to eschew social vices and rather to take their education seriously. Rev. Fr. Osei-Fosu was preaching at Saint Arnold Janssen Parish Church at Kranka to welcome the newly ordained Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ayih for the area. He expressed concern about the upsurge of illicit sexual practices, alcoholism and drug abuse in the area.

Rev. Fr. Osei-Fosu appealed to parents to support and provide their children with their basic necessities and to invest their resources in their education in order to steer them away from peer pressure. He called on Rev. Fr. Ayih to be confident and courageous in the discharge of his duties. Mr. Raphael Kwabena Kudom, President of the Roman Catholic Parish Church at Kranka urged Rev. Fr. Ayih to be time conscious, devoted to duty, show respect to authority and to live above reproach. Rev. Fr. Ayih commended his family and the people of the area for their support and encouragement during his training.
