Prez Press Secretary atacks NPP MP

Mr Kwabena Agyapong, Press Secretary to President Kufuor, has attacked Hon Agyare Koi Larbi, NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Akropong, describing him as someone who has ?failed in politics.?

?Koi Larbi is a failure. He has failed in politics,? Mr Agyapong observed. Mr Agyapong was reacting to the MP?s five-page letter to President Kufour in which he (Koi Larbi) stated that the policy direction of the NPP administration has the potential to divide the nation on ethnic and tribal lines.

In an interview with this reporter in his office at the Castle, Osu, the Press Secretary debunked Hon Larbi?s allegations and described them as ?bogus and misplaced.? According to Mr Agyapong, the Kufour Government is neither projecting the image of a particular chief nor using the chieftaincy institution to promote tribalism in the country.

?The Asantehene started his dealings with the World Bank during the NDC era but nobody saw anything wrong with it.

?What is the ethnic agenda in programme to Ghanaians in 2000 but once they came to power they threw it away and embraced the IMF/World Bank HIPC programme. ?This is a clear evidence that their manifesto was a mere rhetoric, and fa?ade to deceive Ghanaians,? he said. NPP leaders are confused, they have put the national economy in a state of confusion, and nobody understands what they are doing.
