Prez Mills leaves for South Africa and Namibia

His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills departs Accra today, Monday, August 22, 2011, for State visits to The Republic of South Africa and The Republic of Namibia.

A statement issued on Sunday and signed by Mr Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications at the presidency, said the visit was a request by President Jacob Zuma of South Africa and His Excellency Dr. Hifikepunye Pohamba of Namibia.

President Atta Mills arrives in Cape Town on August 22, 2011, and departs for Namibia, Thursday, August 25, 2011, where as part of his itinerary, he will be the Special Guest of Honour at the country’s Heroes Day celebration on Friday, August 26, 2011.

President Atta Mills is being accompanied by, First Lady, Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, as well as a high-powered business delegation.

President Mills is expected back in Accra on Sunday, August 28, 2011.
