Prez Mahama tours flood areas in the Northern regions

President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday arrived in Tamale toured some flood hit areas of the Northern and Upper East regions.

President Mahama and his entourage assessed the extent of damage and offered solutions to those challenges. The National Disaster and Management Organisation have also been directed to provide relief items to the affected persons.

The President also visited Daboya and Kpassinkpe in the Northern Region, and some communities in the Upper East Region where he consoled the flood victims and outlined some of the plans government had for them.

Over 700 people have been displaced by floods in the Upper East region with close to 400 houses also destroyed by the floods.
