Prez Mahama begins A/R tour

President John Dramani Mahama has begun his three-day tour of the Ashanti Region.

President Mahama began on Friday, May 2 by inspecting work at the Kumasi Airport, where a resurfacing of the runway has been undertaken.

Reports say the president was satisfied with work done and promised to make the Airport one of the major hubs in the country so that in future it can accommodate international flights.

President Mahama also inspected work at the Kumasi Shoe Factory, which is now managed by the Ministry of Defence. It produces shoes for security officers.

President Mahama is scheduled to commission a rural electrification project in the Ejura Municipal Assembly.

He is also scheduled to address National Democratic Congress’ members in the Region.
