Prez Mahama appoints new NADMO boss

President John Mahama has appointed Brigadier General Francis Vib Sanziri as the acting National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).

General Sanziri replaces NDC chairman Kofi Portuphy who resigned from the post some months back, a statement signed by the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah Tuesday noted.

The appointment comes on the back of last week’s massive rain and flood disasters that have claimed over 150 lives.

Brigadier General Sanziri is currently the Director General, Joint Operations at the General Headquarters.
