Tarkwa, Oct. 25,GNA-Mr. Francis Kwesi Adu-Blay Kwoffie, Member of Parliament (MP) for Prestea Huni Valley, has presented 1,500 exercise books to the Tarkwa Senior High School on Monday. The books were financed from the MPs car loan fund and aimed at assisting the students with exercise books to improve their academic performance.
He said the donation was for the entire school and appealed to the management of the school to ensure that students benefited from it. He appealed to the students to study hard since education was the foundation for the development of any nation. Mr. Kwoffie reminded them that without it, the future of the nation could not be guaranteed.
He said 10,000 exercise books would be presented to Saint Augustine’s Senior High School, Huni Valley Senior High School and other primary schools in the constituency. Receiving the donation on behalf of the students, Miss Paulina Akosua Manu, Headmistress of the school, commended the MP for the donation. She said though Tarkwa did not form part of the constituency of the MP, it was commendable that he decided to support the school.
