It has come to the attention of the National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party, the proliferation of certain splinter groups from the Party. We are particularly deeply troubled about the actions of some of these groups purporting to speak/act on behalf of the Youth of this Party.
While we continue to encourage wider active participation of our Youth in a spirit of collective responsibility, we would like to sound a word of caution to these groups.
The New Patriotic Party generally frowns upon the proliferation of such groups within the Party.
We are therefore by this statement, asking the founders and leaders of these groups to forward all their grievances to the National Youth Wing Office – the official mouthpiece of the Youth Wing of NPP.
We would kindly entreat all media houses to confer with the Party Leadership before granting audience to these groups to help maintain sanity on our airwaves.
The National Youth Wing would like to seize this opportunity to send our best wishes to all members who are contesting for one position or the other in this weekend’s Constituency Elections. We urge all and sundry to be decorous and exercise maximum restraint as we go through this sacred process of electing our Constituency Officers.
