President’s Meet the Press: An episode of ‘Captain Planet and the Planeteers’

I was teribly engaged somewhere. Far from home, where I could watch the maiden media encounter by H. E. Nana Akofu Addo. But comments on Facebook lured me and I got closer to where I had the chance to view the “drama”.

Alas! It was nearing its end. A stage the information minister christened – “Questions Time”. It appears I was very fortunate.

Because this is the part most loved by a section of Ghanaians. Where majority of the citizenry had interest in. As for the first part, it was only a rendition of the president’s campaign promises.

I read somewhere that goes like, “the president’s meeting with some handpicked journalists Tuesday was a failed attempt to hawk what isn’t there and journalists completed that.”

And I was like, “kaman how?” According to the writer whom I quoted above, the journalists marred the show which the president wanted to use as a springboard to launch his government.
