Presidential candidate’s car impounded for failing to pay 12 years rent

An Accra Magistrate Court on Tuesday ordered for the impounding of the car of Richard Nixon Tetteh, Presidential Candidate of the United Development Systems Party (UDSP) for defaulting in his payment of rent for twelve years.

The candidate was dragged to court by his Landlord, Reynolds Allotey Abbey.

Mr Nixon Tetteh is said to be living in the rented three bedroom house located at Teshie Tsuibleoo for the past several years and has refused to pay his rent in spite of several court actions brought against him to pay what is due his landlord.

Kasapa FM’s Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman reported that the Landlord is in court again seeking an order for possession of Mr Tetteh’s property.

The court has ordered that his car remains seized until payment is effected.
