President Withdraws Nominees

Accra, – The President has withdrawn the nomination of Mr John Tetter Akuerter for the position of deputy Eastern Regional Minister, a letter to the Speaker of Parliament said today. No reasons were given for Mr Akuerter’s withdrawal in the letter read to the house. The letter was dated June three. Mr Akuerter, 55, is a lawyer and served with the erstwhile Eastern Regional Consultative Council in 1982. He also served as a government appointee on the Manya Krobo district assembly between 1985 and 1989.
