President tours Central, Western Regions

Accra, Aug. 9, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor will embark on a nine-day working visit to the Central and Western Regions, commencing, Wednesday, August 10, 2005.

The tour will take President Kufuor to Senya Bereku, Agona Duakwa and Agona Abodom where he will address the chiefs and people in separate durbars.

He is also expected to attend similar durbars at Esuehyia, Enyan Abaasa, Gomoa Eshiem and Gomoa Aboso. Other areas he will visit include Eguafo, Saltpond and Abakrampa.

President Kufuor will also commission the town roads at Brakwa on Friday, August 12 and proceed to Twifo Heman, Twifo Enyinase, Assin Bereku and Nyankomase Ahenkro where he will again interact with the chiefs and people.

On Sunday, August 14, President Kufuor will address the Central Regional House of Chiefs after a non-denominational thanksgiving service at the Victoria Park, Cape Coast.

President Kufuor will then continue to the Western Region.
