The Nigerian Chief of Defense Staff, Major General A.A. Abubakar, today/yesterday presented a message from General Sani Abacha to President Rawlings at the Castle, Osu. The contents of the message were not disclosed. In a brief statement, the Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr.. Victor Gbeho, said relations between Ghana and Nigeria have been long-standing and have seen considerable growth. He said the two countries have become closer particularly in the interaction of their Armed Forces and ECOMOG has been held together because of the leadership of the two countries.
