President Of UN General Assembly In Ghana

The President of the UN General Assembly, Dr. Han Seung- soo is on a three-day visit to Ghana, as part of a four-nation West African tour. He will be meeting with businessmen later today, after holding discussions with President Kufuor, and the Ministers for Defence and Foreign Affairs. Dr. Han’s discussions will focus on Ghana’s role in UN activities, especially its contribution to the UN peace keeping, sub-regional peacekeeping efforts, as well as economic and trade relations between Ghana and South Korea.

Until his appointment as the President of the 56th UN general assembly, Dr. Han was Korea’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and trade.
