President Mills to take salute at May Day

Accra, April 12, GNA – President John Evans Atta Mills would be the special guest of honour at this year’s national May Day parade to be held at the Independence Square in Accra on May 1, a statement Mr Kofi Asamoah, Secretary General of the Ghana Trades Union Congress (TUC), signed in Accra on Tuesday said.

There would also be regional parades in all regional capitals, the statement said.

The theme for the Day is: “Decent Work for Sustainable Economic Development.”

The statement said there would be a health walk on April 16; radio and television discussion on the theme; May Day quiz and symposia in Accra, Takoradi, Sunyani and Ho.
