Accra, May 22, GNA – President John Evans Atta Mills has re-nominated Ms Emelia Arthur as the District Chief Executive of Shama District Assembly, a statement signed by Mr Joseph Yieleh Chireh, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development said on Friday.
Ms Arthur was among the first batch of MMDCEs nominated by President Mills for approval by the respective assemblies, but she was rejected outright in the first ballot.
However, the Shama District Assembly has apologised to the President for rejecting her and petitioned him to re-nominate her.
