President Mills inaugurates classroom block

Asesewa, May 31, GNA – President John Evans Atta Mills on Tuesday inaugurated a 12-unit classroom block and a dormitory at the Asesewa Senior High School as part of his three-day working visit to the Eastern Region.

Inaugurating the projects, President Mills said the provision of the facilities was part of the Better Ghana Agenda, which was all about providing social amenities to the people of Ghana. He said the 12-unit classroom block would go a long way to enhance teaching and learning in the school. President Mills advised the students to use the opportunities they had to become useful citizens in future. He cautioned them to guard against negative practices that could mar their future. President Mills told the chiefs and people in the area that 93we are here to serve but not to lord it over you” and called on them to retain confidence in the government. Mr Stephen Amoanor Kwao, Member of Parliament for Upper Manya, later presented 20 computers and other accessories to the school on behalf of the President. 31 May 11
