President Mills arrives in Addis Ababa for AU Summit

Addis Ababa (Ethipia), Jan. 28, GNA-President John Evans Atta Mills on Friday afternoon arrived in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian and African Union (AU) capital, to attend the 16th Ordinary Session of the African Union. The heads of state meeting, which comes off on January 30 and 31, formed part of the summit that began last Monday on theme: “Towards Greater Unity and Integration through Shared Values.”

High on the agenda for discussion are Somalia Islamist rebels, the Ivoirian post election crisis and the aftermath of the independence vote in Sudan.

According to Mr Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications at the Office of the President, President Mills would deliver the keynote address on the theme: “Shared Values in Africa.”

President Mills would also hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Summit, and interact with the Ghanaian community in Ethiopia.
