President makes new appointment at Metro Mass Transit

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr. Mohammed Sampa, as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in charge of Finance and Administration at the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) limited.

The appointment of the 47-year old Charted Accountant was announced during the inauguration of a 9-member Board of Directors by the Minister of Transport, Hon Kwaku Ofori Asiamah.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikoi South Constituency, Ahmed Arthur is Chairman of the 9-Member Board that has been tasked to improve on the revenue generation of the company.

Mohammed Sampa worked as the Administrative/Finance Manager for the Presbyterian Agric Services (PFT-CDP) in Tamale.

He has fifteen years working experience in auditing, finance and administration with Sappor and Agyekwana Chartered Accountants, Positive Steps Ghana and Presbyterian Agricultural Services respectively

He contested Nalerigu-Gambaga Constituency NPP primaries in 2012 but lost and strongly campaigned for Hon Hajia Alima Mahama to become parliamentary candidate and Member of Parliament in the last election.
