President Mahama Donates $100,000 to Kotoko and Gold Stars Ahead of African Campaigns

President John Dramani Mahama has thrown his support behind Ghanaian clubs Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars with a generous $50,000 donation each as they prepare for their continental campaigns.

The gesture comes at a crucial time for both clubs as they gear up for the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League respectively.

President Mahama, a long-time admirer of Ghanaian football, said his contribution was aimed at motivating the teams to represent Ghana with pride and determination on the African stage.

The donation has been warmly welcomed by the clubs and fans alike, with many describing it as a timely boost. Both Kotoko and Gold Stars are expected to face stiff opposition in their preliminary fixtures, but the financial support will help ease some of the logistical and preparatory burdens.

Supporters are hopeful the gesture will inspire strong performances and, potentially, a deep run in the competitions.
