Early Reactions: The President, John Agyekum Kufuor this afternoon put to rest his non participation in an earlier Voice of America Television programme and appeared on Straight Talk Africa for an hour. The programme, which lasted for an hour discussed with the Ghanaian president by satelite the political and economic situation facing the country and his leadership of ECOWAS.
Characteristic of the programme, there were phone-in from many countries including the United States singing the president’s praises for his vision, humility, economic achievements and many more.
These comments were quiet contrary to the near acrimony that characterised the debate in Ghana when the president’s tight scheducle prevented him from granting the Voice of America an interview during his visit to the United Nations General Assembly meeting.
