President Kufuor Off To Cote d’Ivoire

President John Agyekum Kufuor is due to start a five-day visit to the Ivory Coast today. He is expected to deliver the keynote address at the first ever Ivorian Conference on Reconciliation.

The trip, which is at the invitation of the Ivorian government, will also provide a forum for the President and his Ivorian counterpart, President Laurent Gbagbo to discuss pertinent issues including global efforts at eradicating terrorism, sub-regional integration as well as bilateral issues.

The historic Conference on Reconciliation opens next Monday to begin efforts aimed at bringing together various political factions owing allegiance to President Gbagbo, former Premier Alassani Ouattara, deposed President Konan Bedie and ousted military leader, General Robert Guei.
