President Kufuor leaves for Paris

President John Agyekum Kufuor left Accra for Paris, France on Friday to participate in the on-going peace talks on the Cote d’Ivoire.

The trip is at the invitation of President Jacques Chirac.

Elizabeth Ohene Minister of state at the Presidency and Mr I.K. Osei a Presidential staffer accompanied him.

The meeting would be attended by the UN Secretary-General Mr Kofi Annan and some ECOWAS leaders. Already in Paris is Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, the Foreign Minister.

At the airport to see of the President was the vice-President, Aliu Mahama, ministers of state and Jean-Michel Berrit, the French Ambassador in Ghana.
