President Kufuor leaves for Benin

President John Agyekum Kufuor on Thursday left by road for Benin to attend the inaugural ceremony of Beninois President Matthias Kerekou.

The President who will be away for two days, was accompanied by his wife, Theresa, Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyemang, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr D.K Osei, Secretary to the President.

The Vice-President Alhaji Aliu Mahama and other Ministers of State saw him off.

President Kufuor will use his visit to discuss bilateral issues as well as regional co-operation and integration.

President Kerekou won a runoff to become the third democratically elected president of his country
